Man injured when car hits house

A man was injured when his car crashed into a parked car and then hit a house in Worcestershire.

The driver of the car, a man who is thought to be in his 60s, was treated for minor injuries and shock at the scene in Lineholt Close, Redditch.

He was then taken to Alexandra Hospital after the accident on Saturday.

An ambulance spokesman said the driver was lucky not to be more seriously injured given the level of damage to the cars and the house.

West Mercia Police said it is thought the driver crashed into a car parked on the drive before hitting the house.

A structural engineer was called to the property but the extent of the damage is not known.
