Five youths arrested over fires

Five youths were arrested on suspicion of arson following three fires in Worcestershire.

The fires all took place in Tenbury Wells on Wednesday morning, West Mercia Police said.

One fire was extinguished by staff at Tenbury High School when a bin was set alight, a police spokeswoman said.

The second fire was by a garage door in Redgate Avenue, while the third was in a storeroom at the Co-op in Bromyard Road. One youth has since been bailed.

The other four remain in police custody.

The Co-op fire damaged some shop stock, police said.

Anyone with any information about the fires should contact Worcestershire Police.
