Former prime minister Margaret Thatcher and ex-Worcestershire star Graeme Hick were among those at the funeral of a longtime member of the cricket club.

The funeral of Ray Crawford, 78, whose wife Cynthia was a personal aide to Lady Thatcher when she was prime minister, was held in Worcester.

Lord Jeffrey Archer and Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes were also among those at St Martin's Church.

The funeral was followed by a reception at the cricket club.

Mr Crawford became a life member in 1963.
