Thieves steal one-eyed hamster

A hamster was stolen when thieves broke into a flat in Worcestershire.

The pet, called Lassie, has ginger and white markings and a permanently closed left eye. It was taken from Old Ford Walk, Stourport-on-Severn.

Thieves forced the wooden door of the first-floor flat open some time between Friday evening and Monday afternoon, police said.

A games console, a television and half a bottle of milk were also taken - along with the hamster's cage.
