Woman's body found near motorway

A woman's body has been found in a field near a junction of the M5 in Worcestershire.

Police said the body was found at about 1240 GMT on land about 200 yards (182m) from junction six, near Warndon and Spetchley.

Officers said they still had to confirm the identity of the woman and were treating the cause of her death as unknown.

A post-mortem examination was expected to be carried out later.

A spokesman for south Worcestershire CID said officers wanted to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area over recent days.
