Driver dies in embankment crash

A man has died after his vehicle veered down an embankment in Worcestershire.

The crash happened on the A456 route from Kidderminster to Blakedown at about 0700 GMT, leaving the driver trapped inside.

Because of the awkward location paramedics from the hazardous area response team were called to help.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the vehicle had suffered "significant damage" and although the man was freed he was confirmed dead at the scene.
