Warning over contaminated heroin

Drug users in Herefordshire are being warned about a batch of contaminated heroin which has seen two people being taken to hospital.

One person remains in intensive care after using the heroin which has been cut with an unknown substance.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said the overriding concern was for heroin-users' well-being.

Anyone who thinks they may have taken contaminated heroin should go to an A&E department or ring emergency services.
