Kidderminster Male Choir
A second batch of CDs is currently being produced

A choir has raised more than £10,000 from sales of a CD to help servicemen and women injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Kidderminster Male Choir said the £10 CD has proved to be so popular more are being produced.

All the profits are going to the charity, Help for Heroes, which provides support for wounded servicemen and women.

The CD contains songs "with a clear relevance" to the armed forces.

Paul Brown, from the choir, told BBC News: "Normally we raise money for charity by singing at weddings and so on but this idea was unique that we could make a CD and dedicate the CD to injured servicemen and women coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan."
