Engineering firm to axe 35 jobs

An engineering firm has confirmed it is axing 35 jobs.

Richard Lloyd Ltd, of Boraston Lane industrial estate, Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, makes cutting and threading tools for the car industry.

Nigel Price, from chartered accountants Moore Stephens, said falling orders linked to the economic downturn had prompted the decision to cut jobs.

He said he was advising the firm on its future after being invited by its directors.

A further announcement on the company would be made on Friday, he added.
