Motorway reopens following crash

A motorway has reopened after being closed in one direction for nearly 24 hours following a lorry crash.

The eastbound lane of the M50 was shut between junction two, at Bromsberrow, Gloucestershire, and junction three, at Gorsley, Herefordshire, afterwards.

No-one was badly hurt but almost half a mile of the motorway had to be resurfaced before it could be safely driven on.

It was finally reopened shortly after 0700 BST on Wednesday.
