Weekly refuse collections restart

A council has said it is looking at ways to reintroduce weekly refuse collections after fortnightly ones proved unpopular with residents.

Wyre Forest District Council in Worcestershire introduced fortnightly collections, along with kerbside recycling, in 2003.

But, after complaints and a look at future recycling plans the council has decided to have a rethink.

In future, residents could be given a second wheelie bin for refuse.
