'Year-late' bridge work finished

Teme Bridge, Worcester
The repair work took a total of of six weeks to complete

Work on a bridge on a major route in Worcestershire has finally been finished - a year after it was originally planned.

Engineering work for Worcester's Powick New Bridge, over the River Teme, had been scheduled for last summer but was put off because of flooding.

An estimated 20,000 motorists use the 200-year-old bridge every day heading into the city.

The repair work took a total of six weeks to complete.
