A taxi driver was taken to hospital after being attacked by three men in part of Worcester.

The attack happened in Old Road, near Powick Mill, in the Lower Wick area of the city, just after midnight.

The taxi driver, who suffered injuries to his face, hand and leg, is still in the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Officers said they were determined the attackers would be "quickly brought to justice" and have asked witnesses to contact them.
