Four quizzed over bird possession

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of possessing and capturing a wild bird in Worcestershire.

In a statement, West Mercia Police said they believed the bird may be a goldfinch.

A spokesperson said the two men and two women were arrested in a vehicle at about 0945 BST on Thursday on the A44, in Fish Hill, near Evesham.

All four were bailed by police on condition that they return to Worcester Police Station on 1 July.
