Woman badly injured in horse fall

A woman in her 50s has been seriously injured after being thrown from a horse in Worcestershire.

Paramedics were called to the scene in High Elms Lane, Lower Bentley, Bromsgrove, at about 0900 BST.

The woman suffered head and back injuries, but was conscious when ambulance crews arrived.

She was taken by ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
