Thieves have stolen nearly £5,000 worth of sound equipment from a Rod Stewart impersonator.

Stan Terry, from Malvern, Worcestershire, had the equipment taken from his garage in Thirlstane Road between Wednesday and Saturday.

Mr Terry, who performs across the UK, said: "Rod and I both sing, Some Guys Have All The Luck. On this occasion mine has been all bad."

Police urged anyone with information about the theft to contact them.

Mr Terry had members of the real Rod Stewart's family attend his recent 50th birthday party.

In total, the thieves took two JBL Eon 15 powered speakers with subwoofer, worth £2,450; two Martin Audio S12 subwoofers worth £2,000; spanners valued at £50 and two extendable speaker stands worth £30.

Mr Terry added: "Everybody in the local music business knows everyone else, so if whoever took my stuff tries to use it or sell it, it will be easily recognisable."
