Bid to rid town of plastic bags
A campaign is under way to end the use of carrier bags in a Worcestershire town.

A group called Evesham Bagbusters is hoping to persuade shoppers to stop using plastic bags to help ease pressure on landfill sites.

Campaigner Mike Nielsen said a number of towns and villages across England are also starting similar projects.

The group has the backing of Evesham Town Council and the town's tourism and trade association.

Campaigners will be in the town talking to shoppers about alternatives.
