Farmer charged over livestock ban
A farmer from Herefordshire has been charged with ignoring a ban on livestock movements put in place because of foot-and-mouth restrictions.

Nigel Bevan, 52, of Coldbrook Farm, St Weonards, will appear before Hereford magistrates on Friday accused of moving his cattle and sheep during the ban.

The case is being brought to court by Herefordshire Council.

Restrictions were imposed across parts of the UK after cases of the disease were found in Surrey in August.
