A pet cat has been killed by two dogs in front of its owner.
Two Staffordshire Bull Terriers jumped into the garden of a house in Alexandra Avenue in Hereford and attacked and killed a 14-year-old cat, police said.
Another cat was also attacked and injured in the area at the same time on Thursday evening.
The dogs, one dark brown and one white, were spotted later in Venns Lane covered in blood. Police think the same dogs are responsible for the attacks.
A spokesman said they want to hear from anybody with information as they are concerned the dogs could attack again.
