Thousands of homes without power
More than 2,000 properties have been left without power in an area of Herefordshire after a fault.

Eight hundred homes have been reconnected but more than 1,000 were still without electricity on Monday afternoon after the fault in Bromyard.

The power cut is being blamed on an underground fault.

Jonathan Smith, from Central Networks, said the company was doing all it could to restore power to homes and businesses as soon as possible.

The firm supplies electricity to 4.9 million customers across the East and West Midlands.
