Town's barge replica goes on show
Wych Barge
The barge is designed with a seating area
A replica of a barge which once travelled the Midlands' canals has gone on show in a park.

The life-size replica of the Wych Barge, which transported salt along the waterways, can be seen in Vines Park, Droitwich, Worcestershire.

The barge has a seating area and a play area and has been partially designed by local residents.

Organisers also want to restore the town's canals. Funding is from the People's Millions lottery programme.

The Droitwich Barge Canal and the Droitwich Junction Canal are set to reopen in 2009.
