Four flood warnings remain in place in the West Midlands as river levels begin to subside.

The River Severn in Worcestershire is peaking at 5m (16ft).

An Environment Agency spokesman said water levels were expected to remain high for the next couple of days and barriers at Upon-on-Severn would stay.

Warnings are in place for the rivers Avon and Severn in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

The Met Office predicts only light showers on Wednesday and Thursday but heavy rain is possible on Friday.

On the River Severn, flood warnings are in place between Worcester and Tewkesbury, in Gloucestershire.

Warnings on the Avon are between Evesham and Tewkesbury.
