New powers for anti-social youths
Police have new powers to tackle anti-social behaviour in a Worcestershire town after complaints.

A dispersal order has been granted for part of the Marlpool estate in Kidderminster and runs from 12 March until 6 April.

Officers can now order people to leave the area if their behaviour has caused, or is likely to cause, distress.

The order is the third to be issued in Kidderminster following the Spennells and Comberton Hill areas in 2004.

Officers can also take home any person under the age of 16 between 2100 and 0600 GMT. If they fail to comply, they can be arrested.

The order covers Willowfield Drive, Middleton Road, Beeches Road, Marlpool Lane, Marlpool Place, Mouse Lane, Wilton Avenue, Franche Road, and Chestnut Grove.
