Identity of new bishop revealed
The Right Reverend Dr John Inge
Dr Inge is married with two young daughters
The new Bishop of Worcester has been named as the Right Reverend Dr John Inge, the Bishop of Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire.

He has been in the diocese of Ely in the county since 1996.

Dr Inge, who begins his ministry early in 2008, said he was looking forward "immensely" to his new job.

The current Bishop of Worcester, the Right Reverend Dr Peter Selby, is to retire at the end of September after 10 years in the post.

Dr Inge said: "I am looking forward immensely to coming to serve the church here as it seeks to spread God's love to the people of Worcestershire and Dudley."

The new bishop, who is married with two young daughters, has also worked in the Diocese of Newcastle.
