Court hearing over US shootings
Darren Bridgeman had a relationship with Tracey Bennawit

A Briton accused of killing his former US girlfriend and shooting her lover was due to return to court in the UK.

Darren Bridgeman, 34, from Malvern in Worcestershire, is wanted by US police for the murder of Tracey Bennawit and attempted murder of Adam Strickland.

He appeared in court last week for an initial extradition hearing.

Mr Bridgeman, who is challenging the extradition, was due to appear via videolink at Bow Street Magistrates' Court in London on Thursday.

Police in the US alerted Scotland Yard after the shootings in Florida on 24 June.

Mr Bridgeman handed himself in to police in Worcester on 6 July.
