£36m for public transport schemes

Three public transport schemes across the West Midlands have been given £35.7m in government funding.

The bulk of the cash, £14.3m, is to be spent improving bus services in Leamington Spa and Warwick.

Another £10.3m will be used to tackle congestion at the Burnt Tree Junction in the Dudley and Sandwell area.

The rest is to improve access to public transport between Birmingham International Airport and the National Exhibition Centre.
