Officers linking tractor thefts
Farmers have been warned to step up security after two vintage tractors were stolen.

A £4,900 Massey Ferguson was taken from a barn in Hadzor Lane, Droitwich, but later abandoned near Hanbury Road, West Mercia Police said.

A £3,000 red Massey Ferguson 135 was also stolen, from Lincomb Lane, Titton, Stourport-upon-Severn.

Police said there were "clear similarities" between the thefts which they have begun investigating.

A spokesman said: "Two very similar tractors were targeted in the same time frame by thieves who obviously knew what they were looking for.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who sees a red Massey Ferguson offered for sale and is at all suspicious about its origin."
