Council debate canal funding gap
Councillors are to decide if a shortfall in funding an £11m revamp of a Worcestershire canal will be plugged.

The county council was considering on Thursday whether to underwrite part of the £1m still needed to finance the restoration of Droitwich Canal.

British Waterways and Wychavon District Council are also underwriting it.

British Waterways said the meeting's outcome will not affect the scheme's progress but Wychavon Council said it may review its commitments.
