A vicar is spreading the word of God by making his sermons available on iPods.
Paul Finch said he hoped to introduce videocasting as well
The Reverend Paul Finch said he wanted as many people as possible to have access to his weekly church talks.
The podcasts, which can be downloaded from the internet, are recorded during Mr Finch's Sunday morning services at St Andrew's Church in Malvern, Worcs.
He said they were not intended to replace services but were aimed at people who could not attend the church for whatever reason.
Mr Finch said: "It is like going to a football match and watching the match on television - it is never quite the same.
"When you are not in the place you do not get the atmosphere. But it is second best for the people who cannot make it."
He said congregations had not been hit since the podcasts began after Easter and St Andrew's had one of its highest attendances on Sunday.
"It gives that opportunity of being able to hear somebody speak in a live situation and the quality is exceptional."
He said the next thing the church was planning to do was videocasts so people could watch the full service.
