The possibility of the River Lugg generating hydroelectric power for Herefordshire is one idea being discussed by a new conservation group.
The river runs from Presteigne to Mordiford where it joins the River Wye and the Lugg Valley Heritage Network wants to ensure it is preserved.
It is looking at restoring the 100 waterwheels which once generated power.
The group has been set up as part of a 12 month study which aims to raise awareness of the heritage of the river.
