Man's body found by River Severn
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on the body of an 86-year-old man whose body was found by the River Severn near Worcester.

James Lawrence Lancashire, 86, of Treddington Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, was discovered at Camp Lane at Grimley on Saturday afternoon.

West Mercia Police are not treating his death as suspicious.

Mr Lancashire, a keen angler, was on a fishing trip to the River Severn when he died.

Members of the public assisted the fire and ambulance service to recover his body from the riverside.

Worcestershire coroner Victor Round has been informed and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Tuesday.
