An architect whose girlfriend is still missing after the London bombings has lost his fight for life.

Lee Harris, 30, who was from Hereford and had been living in London, died on Friday night, police said.

Samantha Badham, 36, who had lived in Ledbury, was travelling with Mr Harris on the Piccadilly Line Tube between King's Cross and Russell Square.

The couple had been together for nearly 13 years. Mr Harris' death takes the toll from the London attacks to 55.

Same train

Mr Harris, who suffered multiple injuries, died at about 2140 BST at the Royal London Hospital in the East End, West Mercia Police said.

Family liaison officers from the West Mercia force have been helping both families.

A former school friend of Mr Harris, Lisa Merrick, 31, from Hereford, was on the same train as the couple, two carriages behind them, and survived.
