March to save hospital services
Protestors held a march in a Worcestershire town on Saturday in a bid to save local hospital services which are under threat.

Maternity, paediatric and gynaecology services are under review at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust want to close the wards to save more than £20m.

Last month, bosses decided against moving emergency surgery and trauma services from the hospital.

The trust says only £12.5m in savings have been made so far but a number of clinicians made a case against the transfer and found it would not allow them to make any significant savings.

The trust's service review project board is to meet on 10 January.
