An early medieval coin and a rare glass vessel have been discovered at an archaeological excavation.
The items, which also included an ornately decorated pitcher, were unearthed at a dig behind All Saint's Church in Hereford.
Archaeologists also found evidence of occupation there as far back as the 11th century.
Blackened soil and industrial waste indicate a metal worker was living there at the time of the Black Death.
Evidence found in a pit shows metal working seems to have started up again on the site around the 16th Century.
