Kangaroo helps combat fly tipping
A scheme to highlight the cost of cleaning streets across the county of Herefordshire is using a kangaroo to get the message across.

"Katie the clean up kangaroo" is part of the Streetscene initiative that is a joint project between the council and Herefordshire Jarvis Services.

It is estimated that cleaning the streets costs around 800,000 a year.

The signs, which can already be seen in some lay-bys, aim to highlight issues such as fly tipping and graffiti.

They will also be used as part of the councils education campaign for pre-school and primary school pupils.
