Salt boy pair go to appeal court
A couple jailed for killing a toddler they were hoping to adopt are to have their case heard in the Appeal Court.

Ian and Angela Gay from Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, were convicted of killing Christian Blewitt, aged three, from West Bromwich, in January.

The boy died from salt poisoning and also suffered a fatal head injury.

The couple denied causing the toddler's death in December 2002 and insisted he died from natural causes. The case is due to be heard at the end of August.
