Chickens destroyed in farm fire
Up to 9,000 chickens have been destroyed in a fire at a poultry unit in Herefordshire.

Firefighters were called to the scene at Hill House Farm in Ross Road, Ledbury, on Tuesday night.

The unit, which measured 240ft (73m) by 60ft (18m), was already well alight when they arrived.

Crews from Ledbury, Malvern and Hereford were called at about 2300 GMT and firefighters were still at the scene on Wednesday morning.
