Wristband fad success for charity
A Hereford breast cancer charity says its decision to tap into youth fashion trends has proved so successful it has had to order more stock to meet demand.

Breast Cancer Haven celebrated the first anniversary of the setting up of its base in St Owen Street by launching a specially-designed pink wristband.

Each band is inscribed with the logo "Breast Friend".

The charity says it has been inundated with children wanting to buy wristbands and has sold 500 since Friday.

The bands cost £1 each, with all the proceeds helping to fund the charity.

Breast Cancer Haven's first centre was opened by the Prince of Wales in 2000, with the second base opening in Hereford in January of last year.
