A couple from Worcestershire were tied up and assaulted by two men armed with a knife who burst into their home.
The robbers pushed past the woman, who is in her 60s, as she opened the door in Blackwell, Bromsgrove, on Tuesday night, West Mercia Police said.
The men made off in the couple's silver Peugeot car with bank and credit cards.
The woman was left with minor injuries caused by a punch. Her husband, who is in his 70s and already in poor health, was badly shaken by the ordeal.
Police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened at about 2030 BST.
Both offenders are described as white, in their early 20s with Birmingham accents.
