Beauty spot landfill plan opposed
A Worcestershire community is fighting plans for a landfill site in what they say is one of the most beautiful parts of England.

An application has been made to fill in a pond at Meadow Farm, Bayton, near Clows Top, with 125,000 tonnes of waste over a seven-year period.

People living nearby fear delivery lorries and bulldozers will spoil the tranquillity of the area.

The county council said it is going to consult locals about the plan.

A final decision will be made by the summer, the council said.
