The Worcester Warriors have helped boost the hospice fund
A new children's hospice in Worcester is on course to open in March after building work was completed.

Acorns Children's Hospice will provide residential care for 250 children in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and parts of Gloucestershire.

About £5m has been raised over the last five years towards the centre which is due to open on a three acre site in Bath Road.

Facilities for children, bedrooms, and an adolescent unit, will be provided.

Worcester Warriors rugby team helped boost the hospice building fund by donating gate receipts from a match against Leinster in August last year.
