Postmaster left with brain injury
A postmaster is in a critical condition in hospital after he was left needing brain surgery in a suspected armed robbery in Worcestershire.

Allan Davies was discovered by his wife with head injuries at Hanley Post Office on Wednesday morning.

He was taken to the Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry, where medics removed a blood clot from his brain.

It is thought Mr Davies disturbed one or more intruders, although police will not yet speculate about his injuries.
