Staffordshire Police investigating an alleged brawl at a Burton Albion football match have issued pictures of three men they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

About 30 Hereford United supporters were allegedly involved in a fight with home fans on Burton's Eton Park pitch at a Nationwide Conference match on 19 September.

It took 10 minutes for stewards and substitutes from the Hereford bench to restore order.

Officers want to speak to three men who feature on video footage from the match.

Police appeal

Detective Sergeant Darren Harding, from Burton CID, said: "We are keen to talk to these men, who we believe are from the Hereford area, in relation to the events of that Friday.

"We would urge anyone who knows these men to contact us.

"People can ring anonymously if they wish and all information will be treated in the strictest confidence."

Nine men have been arrested and charged with violent disorder following the game.
