Girl dies from suspected meningitis
An investigation is underway after a seven-year-old girl died from suspected meningitis.

The dead youngster, Emily Rose Davidson, was a pupil at Grove Infant School in Malvern, Worcestershire.

She died at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Saturday after becoming ill the day before.

Health experts believe she may have died as a result of contracting meningococcal meningitis.

The strain is the more serious form of the disease.

Everyone who had close contact with the girl has been treated for the disease as a precaution.
