A Premiership footballer has appeared in court charged with driving through a series of red lights while under the influence of alcohol.
Southampton FC winger Fabrice Fernandes was stopped in his black Porsche at 0400 GMT on 10 May in central London and ordered to take a breath test.
The 24-year-old is charged with driving with excess alcohol, dangerous driving and failing to stop for a constable.
He was granted unconditional bail and ordered to return to court on 19 July.
His solicitor told Bow Street Magistrates this was the only date he could make as his client had to travel to Sweden for pre-season training.
