Youths in court over grandfather death

Two 14-year-olds have appeared in court charged with the murder of a Hampshire grandfather.

Jeffery Rostigina, 44, of Howe Close, New Milton, died in hospital after suffering severe head injuries on Friday, 9 January.

The two teenagers are among six people charged with his murder who appeared in court on Monday.

A 16-year-old boy from New Milton, was arrested on Friday, has been released on police bail.

Roofer Peter Crutcher, 46, wife Ginette Crutcher, 35, and another roofer, Gavin Gore, 24, the two unnamed 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old have been charged with murder and violent disorder.

They were all remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 4 June.
