A schoolgirl's debut single has made it into the Christmas top 40.
Erin Rocha, from Poole in Dorset, reached 36 in the Christmas charts with the song Can't Do Right for Doing Wrong.
The 16-year-old was spotted while she was on work experience at a Hampshire recording studio and asked to record a single for Christmas.
The schoolgirl now plans to release an album after agreeing a deal with record giant EMI.
The teenager attends the sixth-form at Poole High School and is currently studying for her A-levels in drama, English literature and language and psychology.
She started singing at the age of six and first went into the recording studio in October 2001.
