The family of the prime suspect in the Hannah Foster murder inquiry has urged the 35-year-old to give himself up.
Maninder Pal Singh Kohli flew to India four days after 17-year-old Hannah disappeared near her home in Portswood, Southampton on 14 March.
Mr Singh's police constable brother, Ishtpreet Singh, said his family was worried at the allegations being made.
Speaking from the family home near Chandigarh in the Punjab, he said: "We all advise him to surrender and face the law."
Three detectives from Hampshire Constabulary, currently based in New Dehli, are due to head to the suspect's home town of Mohali in the next few days.
The team, who have been working with Indian police in the Punjab, Interpol and officers from the Indian Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), based in New Delhi, have an arrest warrant for Mr Maninder Pal Singh and hope to bring him back to Britain.
They also want to question his brother.
Hampshire Constabulary formally identified Mr Singh as someone they would like to question in connection with Hannah's murder for the first time on Tuesday.
Constable Isthpreet Singh and the rest of the Kohli Family are convinced that it will not be long before he is arrested.
The day after the suspect is known to have flown to India he was met by his brother in Ambala.
He is known to have spent a week to 10 days with his family at their Mohali house.
The constable said his brother had said nothing about Hannah during his recent visit.
He said: "It was Maninder's in-laws who later called us and told us that my brother was a suspect in this crime.
"Maninder left us saying he had to get back to England and we have since not heard a word from him.
"We don't know whether he has committed the crime or not, but his disappearance is certainly causing us an extreme amount of anxiety," he said.
Hannah's body was found on 16 March

Police first searched the suspect's home in Broadlands, Swaythling, in March, after a tip-off from a viewer of the BBC Crimewatch programme.
His wife was arrested for questioning and later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The team, which includes a Punjabi-speaking detective, is expected to stay in India for a week.
Hannah was found raped and strangled in undergrowth in the outskirts of Southampton on 16 March.
She had vanished two days earlier after a night out with friends.
The bright A-level student had been offered a place to study medicine at two universities.
