M3 motorway closed in Hampshire after lorry crash

A 10-mile stretch of motorway in Hampshire was closed for several hours after a lorry left the carriageway in the early hours of the morning.

The lorry, left the road between junctions 8 and 9 at about 0230 BST, shedding its load of paper.

Hampshire Constabulary closed one southbound lane of the motorway from 0900 BST to recover the paper.

The southbound carriageway was closed completely for three hours from 1000 BST to allow recovery of the lorry.

The driver, who sustained minor injuries, had to be released from his vehicle.
