Cruise ship pair in drugs arrest

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of smuggling cocaine into the UK on a luxury cruise ship.

A man and woman from Surrey were detained by UK Border Agency officers as the man disembarked the Black Watch liner at Southampton docks.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) said 1.5kg (3.3lb) of cocaine with an estimated street value of £70,000 was seized from a male passenger.

A man aged 23 and woman aged 20, are being questioned by HMRC investigators.
